Tunnel of Love (Aaron)

It had been a few years since Aaron Ryder and Emily Levesque had been an item, but the minute Emily ran back into Aaron it was as if nothing had changed in her heart. Though perhaps it was just that her feelings were even stronger than before. Years having passed meant they had grown and matured, and as she looked into those sweet eyes, she knew how her heart still felt towards Aaron. After a nice evening by the lake where she had played a song she had actually been writing for him, though she had waited til it was over to inform him it was about him, they had decided to try to go on a date again and see if those old feelings were still there. In her heart of hearts, Emily knew hers were still there, but were his? 

They had chosen the theme park, a date they had always talked about going on when they were younger. Emily was excited, she had her hair pulled up in a pony tail, with whispy pieces down her around her face, her black leather jacket, black pants and a tank top, and boots. It was going to be fun, and she could hardly wait. They had used the floo network to go, with the permission of Professor Dupree, though she was concerned about sending them at first, she was also a romantic at heart, and there was something about that Ryder's that got to the ladies. Looking up at the bright shimmering lights of the theme park she felt beyond excited. " This is going to be so much fun, thanks for bringing me here." she grinned up at Aaron.

Aaron was feeling really nervous. Which was unusual he shouldn't be nervous. He had been on dates before.. but this was special. After years he was going on a date with Emily. When they broke up years ago he never imagined they would talk again never mind go on a date. But recently they had reconnected. It had started out with them attending classes together, talking then to the point where Emily had even played him a song. She had a really good voice, she was a special talent and one day he knew she was going to make it big. Even though years had passed he was still supportive over her and would always be.

Thanks to Teresa, well he should probably call her Professor Dupree but he wasn't used to that term yet, they were allowed to go the theme park. They had planned this for years and he couldn't of though of a better place. Dressed in a t shirt, jeans and Adidas high tops Aaron looked at Emily "Your ready?" He asked smiling. He had waited for this day for a long time. "So what do you want to do first? Do you want to go on the baby ride first as i know your scared of the adult ones" Aaron teased smiling. It was so nice to be in her company again. He had really missed her. There was something about her that brought out the best in him. He held out her hand for him to hold.. "Do you want anything? Do you want me to get you anything to eat first? A drink?" Today was all about Emily and Aaron was going to do whatever she wanted to do.

Emily was beyond excited to be there with Aaron. She wished that things had never ended the way they had with them, their brothers weren't happy at the time, but she hoped that Andrew and Danny would be ok with it now. Emily had missed the hell out of Aaron and she was so glad that they were slowly reconnecting. It was something that they needed. " Absolutely ready." she was practically bouncing as they stood there together. She wanted to do anything and everything with him.  " I'm so excited for this. No I don't want to ride the baby rides..." she nudged him, " You can protect me from the adult ones." she laughed and as he held his hand out to her she took it, lacing her fingers through his. 

It was a feeling of warmth, one of protection, and absolute safety and joy. She felt her heart race from just that little thing. She shook her head, " All I want is to enjoy the day and have fun with you. Though I wouldn't say no to some cotton candy and a drink." she grinned up at him and leaned her head against his shoulder for a moment, looking up at the looming roller coaster they were heading towards. " That thing is gigantic." she almost headed the opposite direction, but she wanted to be brave and show Aaron that she had changed, that she was so much stronger than she used to be.

When Emily and him broke up a few years ago it was really hard for Aaron. She was his first proper relationship. They had so much fun together. Two young innocent kids enjoying time together. Now they were both grown up young adults. A lot had changed in their life. They had been through different experience but one thing hadn’t changed for Aaron and that was how much he still cared for her. That feeling would never go. She was part of his life and he was so glad that she was back in it. He knew this time it was going to be different, it was going to be better.

As she bounced around excitedly he couldn’t help but smile. It was nice to see her happy. She deserved this. “You sure you don’t want to ride the baby rides? I don’t think your tall enough for the adult rides” He teased. “Okay fine I’ll protect you but don’t scream in my ears. I’d like to still be able to hear you when we finish” He joked. It was nice to just be himself around her. As she grabbed his hand he felt so comfortable it was just like old times. “Me too. Well let’s have some fun and get some candy floss” Aaron walked over to the stall and brought some candy floss, he took a bit of candy floss and passed it over to Emily. “I’d feed you but I don’t know if your in the romantic mood. But don’t worry you can feed me..” Aaron joked opening his mouth wide open.

It has been a while since he had been on a rollercoaster, he was a bit nervous but he was still going to do it. As they waited in the queue their turn came. “You ready Em? Cmon we can do this together and look I promise I won’t let go of your hand. We’re in this together” He looked up at the huge rollercoaster hoping he wouldn’t regret this. Aaron took his seat and pulled the his harness down. “Ready?” Aaron looked at her smiling before taking a hold of her hand just like he promised.

Their joined hands made Emily's heart soar. It seemed like they would never be able to be friends again, much less be on a date, yet there they were. Hopefully that was the start of something new for them, because she had missed the feeling of his hand in hers. As they looked up at the roller coaster she swallowed the knot in her throat but shook her head, " No baby rides, its time I grew up and took on a new challenge, don't you think?" She of course was meaning more than the rides. She was meaning them as well, their relationship, whether or not the future held them together again. As the screams were heard as the current group on the ride went down the huge drop she balked for a second, but instead of running moved closer to Aaron, feeling safe. It was the one thing that was keeping her from running at high speed from the damn thing. 

" I make no promises, I am likely to scream my head off and you know it." she took a piece of the sugary substance from him and popped it in her mouth, feeling it dissolve as it hit her tongue. Emily had always had a sweet tooth. As he said she could feed him she laughed but did pull a piece off and hold it out to him, " Open up then." She placed the candy on his tongue and her heart skipped a beat. Romantic mood? You bet she was, but she was also a nervous wreck. As they stood in queue and then it was there turn she kept her eyes on him. It was like she was memorizing his face all over again. 

Climbing into the car beside him she pulled her own harness down and held tight to his hand. " Terrified...im terrified...." she squeezed his hand and as they started to move, climbing up the hill she took a deep shuddering breath and closed her eyes. " oh god oh god oh god....."

Never did Aaron think that Emily would want to be in his company again never mind go on a date. When they were younger things didn't end between them on a good note due to their older brothers. There was some major family drama. By family drama he meant between both of their families. However now they were older Danny didn't seem to mind him spending time with Emily which was unusual but nice. Dan was however busy in his own world now which was better for Aaron. No Danny around meant no interference. His brother rarely paid him attention these days. He had no time for him. No one in his family had time for him, his parents lived in a different countries and his siblings fled the nest so it didn't bother him anymore. Instead he made peace with it. He had no choice.

Hearing Emily say it was time she took on new challenges, he raised his eyebrows. “Yeah i am all for taking new challenges. What kind of challenge were you thinking?” He kind of hoped that she would just say it what she meant clearly. As she moved closer to him he moved closer to her. “Hmm maybe i need to use a spell to mute you” Aaron joked. He didn't mind if she screamed as long as she had a good time. As she put a candy floss piece in his mouth, he nodded enjoying the flavour. “Its not bad this. We should get some more after a few rides” It was the nicest candy floss he had in a while.

As the ride went up and down the hill Aaron couldn't help but scream too. The adrenaline from the ride was too much. He actually enjoyed it. When it was over, he got up and helped Emily get off the ride. “Shall we take a break from riding and just talk?” As they walked away Aaron pulled out the candy floss. “Come on Em are you not going to feed your boyfriend some candy floss? Don't be tight show him some love” He was grinning then realised what he said, wait did he just call himself her boyfriend. Damn. Aaron didn't know whether to freak out or play it cool. They hadn't talked about their relationship status yet. Deciding to play it cool he put his arms around her shoulder. “You can show me some love unless your embarrassed of me..” Aaron teased wondering how she would react.

Emily turned her eyes on Aaron as he asked her about the challenge she had in mind. She had quite a few, but one that was really up there was the challenge of getting their families to accept them together. Danny seemed to be more open to her these days but was that going to stick? Andrew didn't live near her anymore, so she didn't really need his permission, not that she would of asked for it to begin with. Looking up at him she bit her lip for a moment then let the words out, " Maybe the challenge of our families, and us maybe starting over and trying to get passed the past that we had to deal with when we were younger." she shrugged, she wasn't sure what he wanted from her, but it was worth it to try again, if he wanted to. She was scared, but it was worth it all the same. She missed him so terribly. He was the best thing she had in her life. She laughed, " good luck with that." she poked him as he said he would use a spell to mute her. That would never happen. She laughed again and shook her head. " Sure, we can maybe take some back with us too." she loved it, it was so sweet and sugary, being that that was all it really was anyway. 

She ended up screaming through the whole ride along with him, she just couldn't it. The ride was instense and after it was over she looked at Aaron with wide eyes. She made it. As he helped her out of the little car she held on to him tightly, feeling a little dizzy. " That sounds like a good idea. That was intense." her legs felt a little jello like, but it was still so  much fun. As he pulled out the candy floss she went to take a piece out of it when he called himself her boyfriend. Was that what they were? She hoped so. The smile grew on her face and she stood on tip toe to place more of the sweet treat in his mouth. " Boyfriend hmm? I love the sound of that coming off your lips again." she ran her thumb lightly over his bottom lip and as he put his arm around her shoulder she edged her way over until she could wrap both arms around him, pulling him to the side away from people and pressed a kiss to his lips. " I didn't know what you wanted from us, but I missed you so much Aaron and I want to be with you again." she looked up into those gorgeous eyes of his, her heart fluttering away like a bird.

Today had actually gone better than he thought it would. The location was perfect and so was everything else. Aaron knew what Emily was referring to but he hoped they were past that. "I know what you mean but i don't think we will have that issue this time round. Things have changed. Everyone had moved on with their lives. Well maybe Danny was still mad at her brother but he was confident that Dan wouldn't let it affect things between Aaron and Emily. He hope his brother had matured. "Of course we can take the whole store home with us if you want and no im not joking" Whatever she wanted she would get, Aaron would make sure of it.

He was glad to be of the ride. It wasnt like her was scared of rollercoasters or something but that one had lasted a bit longer than he expected. He was glad to have his feet firmly on the ground. When Emily said it was intense, he nodded in agreement. "Tell me about it". Aaron wasnt sure what her reaction would be to him calling himself her boyfriend, he was kind of nervous and hoped he wasnt jumping. Her reaction surprise him, he wasn't expecting it but he wasnt going to complain. "Well i'd like to hear the word come out of your mouth" He twisted his lips unsure of what her reaction would be then she ended up kissing him. Now he definitely was not expecting that. As he felt her lips against his, after a moment of being caught of guard he kissed her back. A feeling went through him that he hadn't felt in a while. A good feeling. Pulling away he looked into her eyes. "I missed you to Em. You do? So how about we give us another chance. What you say to that?" Aaron smiled at her, his eyes lightening up with happiness. It had been a long time since he had been in a relationship but he was excited to enter into one again with his first crush.
